To get a great job, you need to hang out where the professionals hang out.

Every job has a professional home. For example, engineers have IEEE, and accountants have the AICPA. Joining these groups as a student is usually very cheap.
Use Meetup.com or Eventbrite to find local professional events in your city. Don't be afraid to go! Most professionals love helping students. If you go to one event a month, you will meet people who can tell you about jobs that aren't even posted online yet.
