5) First Job Execution

Most companies do a Performance Review once a year. For an international student, that is too late. You need to know how you are doing now.

• Every two weeks, ask your manager for 15 minutes of 1-on-1 time. Ask one specific question: "What is one thing I can do better next week to be more helpful to the team?"
• This shows you are coachable. If there is a problem with your work, you find out early and fix it before it becomes a reason to deny your visa sponsorship.
