3) Interview Mastery

If you are in Tech, Engineering, or Finance, you will have a skills test. For coders, this is often a Whiteboard or Live Coding session.

-Don't just start typing. Use the UMPIRE framework:

• Understand the problem (ask questions).
• Match it to a pattern (have I seen this before?).
• Plan your solution (write the steps in plain English).
• Implement (write the code).
• Review (check for bugs).
• Evaluate (can it be faster?).

-The interviewer cares more about how you think than if your code is 100% perfect. Talk out loud while you work!
