Environment Design
Sleep Environment Optimization
Your bedroom should be a cave: cool, dark, and quiet.
- Temperature: The ideal sleep temperature is between 60–67°F (15–19°C).
- Blackout: Use blackout curtains or a high-quality eye mask. Even a tiny LED light from a charger can disrupt your sleep quality.
Desk Ergonomics
Prevent the tech-neck that plagues many immigrants.
- The 90-Degree Rule: Your elbows, hips, and knees should all be at 90-degree angles.
- Monitor Height: The top of your screen should be at eye level. Use a laptop stand and an external keyboard to avoid hunching.

Light & Noise
- Circadian Lighting: Use bright, cool light in the morning and warm, amber light in the evening.
- Cognitive Load: Clear your desk of clutter. A messy desk creates visual noise that competes for your brain's attention.
